#mytopic.in.society – MCTS Doctoral Colloquium
The doctoral colloquium #mytopic.in.society has been well established as an important event showcasing research activities at the MCTS.
Doctoral candidates, postdocs and other members of the MCTS academic community came together for this semester’s colloquium on February 9-10, 2018, presenting current projects and engaging in lively discussion. All stages of the doctoral projects were represented, from first introductions of concepts and ideas from candidates in their first year, to broader discussions of complex arguments and societal impact presented by third year candidates.
Breakout groups after the presentations provided the opportunity for direct feedback and in depth analysis of each of the projects.
We were also very happy to welcome our guest Prof. Dr. Robin Williams, Director of the Institute for the Study of Science Technology and Innovation (ISSTI) and professor of political science at the University of Edinburgh, as invited expert to provide insight into the international research landscape of MCTS beyond the MCTS.
