Lunch Talk: Matthew Wisnioski on „Everyone an Innovator“

Matthew Wisnioski, Associate Professor of MCTS at Virginia Tech, will give a lunch talk on „Everyone an Innovator: A Celebration and a Critique.“ (12:30 pm, seminar room 370).

Matthew Wisnioski, a historian of technology and MCTS scholar, has worked extensively on competing visions of technology and engineering, as well as engineering cultures and design ethics more broadly. His current research and book project is concerned with the rise of „innovation expertise“ as a distinct form of expertise in post-war America. Last spring, he organized a great workshop on the topic „Can innovators be made?“ at VT & the Smithsonian in DC.
