Thinking Machines: The History, Present and Future of Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the key topics of contemporary academic and public discourse. While there are various research endeavours dedicated to and the ethical, social and political aspects of AI, what still seems to be missing from the picture is an integrated humanities perspective. This series of workshops and public lectures with international experts is a step towards such an integrated perspective. The series will be jointly hosted by the Digital Media Lab, Munich Center for Technology in Society (MCTS), Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Research Institute for the History of Science and Technology, Deutsches Museum (DM), in collaboration with the International Center for Formal Ontology, Warsaw University of Technology (PW). The events will be hosted at DM and TUM in alternating fashion.
