Sociology of Science

Barbara Sutter studied social sciences and philosophy at Goethe University Frankfurt. She received her doctorate in sociology at University of Basel and was a research assistant in interdisciplinary projects on nature and culture of volition, control and responsibility (funded by VW Foundation) as well as in a project on “Images of Death” (LMU, funded by DFG). She was a visiting researcher at the Department of Management, Politics and Philosophy at Copenhagen Business School. Since September 2013 she is lecturer (Akademische Rätin) and head of the sociology section at the Friedrich Schiedel Endowed Chair in Sociology of Science at Technical University of Munich.
