Peter Asaro will be staying at MCTS as Visiting Professor from April 23-26, 2019.
Peter Asaro is Associate Professor at the School of Media Studies at The New School, New York, USA. He is a philosopher of science, technology and media. His work examines artificial intelligence and robotics as a form of digital media, the ethical dimensions of algorithms and data, and the ways in which technology mediates social relations and shapes our experience of the world. On Thursday 25 April, 17:30–19:00, Peter will give a public lecture titled “AI Ethics in Predictive Policing. From Models of Threat to an Ethics of Care”.
