On February 1st, the MCTS hosted the RESET “Science School” for the first time. Ten students from the RESET Master’s program gave 15-minute talks on the internships they completed during the third semester, giving exemplary insights into their activities and linking their experiences and observations to teaching contents and concepts from the Master’s program.
The internship is an elementary component of the RESET Master’s program. It gives students the opportunity to see how concepts like Responsible Research and Innovation are applied in organizations and companies, and enables them to put the theoretical knowledge they have acquired into practice. For this year’s internships, the students spent at least eight weeks in organizations and companies in Munich, Berlin, Barcelona and Copenhagen.
The internships and thus the talks held at the Science School event dealt with topics such as test facilities for self-driving cars, early childhood education, so-called Deepfakes, the future of mobility and digital helpers in the factory of the future. The presentations were followed by short Q&A sessions during which visitors to the event were able to ask their questions.
The RESET Science School was organized by the students themselves – this included sending out invitations, designing the program and moderating the event. The event was supervised by Federica Pepponi.
