Co-creating a European Co-creation Roadmap

Co-creating a European Co-creation Roadmap
When: 19 March, 2-4pm CET, online

The EU H2020 funded research initiative SCALINGS will synthesize its findings into an EU Policy Roadmap. This roadmap (tentative title: “Co-creating diverse futures: European innovation in 2030”) has the specific goal of informing policy-makers and practitioners of the mainstreaming of co-creative innovation and its limitations over the next decades. But what are the conditions that emerge as decisive in shaping the efficacy and outcomes of co-creation? What role do questions of social justice, diversity and inclusion play? And how can we distill a set of international ‘best practices’ into a programmatic agenda while at the same time taking into consideration the socio-cultural idiosyncrasies co-creative innovation practices are embedded in?

In this session, we present the results of the roadmapping activities in SCALINGS and aim to generate an open debate of academics and practitioners about what they see as essential for the future of co-creation in Europe. We explicitly welcome contributions from a diverse audience, including e.g. fellow academics, practitioners, policy-makers, as well as interested members of the public.

Contributors: Ruth Müller (TUM), Iris Eisenberger (Uni Graz), Maja Horst (DTU), Raluca Iagher (European Commission), Alan Irwin (CBS), Sebastian Pfotenhauer (TUM), Jack Stilgoe (UCL).
This session is part of the SCALINGS Online Series, Innovating together: Responsible scaling of co-creation.
