Doctorate completed

On September 15, 2020 David Seibt successfully completed the oral examination for his doctorate, in which he dealt with „Industrial User Construction: The Introduction of 3D Printing to the Prosthetics Industry.“

David Seibt’s dissertation develops a theory of industrial user construction. Based on a study of 3D printing to prosthetics, it describes the construction of user roles in processes of inscribing, circulationg, and using. It also highlights the role of production technologies on organizing the action nets in which these processes interlink. The work contributes to an understanding of heterogeneous patterns of action and their relationship to the institutional order of modern societies.

Congratulations to the future Dr. rer. soc.!
