Doctorate completed

On December 20, 2019, Pim Peters successfully completed the oral examination for his doctorate, in which he dealt with “Planning Without Overview. On how Munich’s planners plan for cycling, complexity and the baroque”.

Pim Peters’s doctoral project explores how planners plan. Based on an ethnographic study of cycling planning by Munich’s transport planning department, it sheds light on the methods and practices of transport planning and the issues Munich’s planenrs are dealing with. But most importantly, it theorizes what it means to plan without overview.

Congratulations to the future Dr. phil.!
