Research Colloquium: Dr. Felix Mauch "Talkin‘ ‘bout a Revolution"
Logistical Infrastructures and Organizational Spaces in History
Building on its origins in warfare and colonialism, logistics has “revolutionized” not only the global circulation of materials, people, and data since the long 19th century, but also the calculation and organization of economic space. This lecture tracks the profound transformations in optimizing logistical flows through supply chains, infrastructures, and management techniques in order to explore some of the conceptual pathways towards a history of logistics.
The event will take place as part of the Research Colloquium Series at the Munich Center for Technology in Society (Augustenstr. 46, Room 270).
